Short Description
This is an on screen keyboard and mouse that enables Windows software to be controlled by one or two switches, a joystick, a track ball or a head pointer. SAW5 requires Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP.

This product is free to download from the ACE Centre Advisory Trust website.


More Details
SAW5 replaces the mouse and keyboard with a series of on screen selection sets that can be automatically or manually scanned item by item and selected using switches. Selection sets available include mouse navigation, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, word processing and AccessMaths.

Users are also able to develop their own selection sets.

Requires 32Mb RAM and 5Mb hard disk space.



Models
Two versions of SAW5 are available.

SAW5 Lite provides access to pre-made sets which can be customised to suit the user.

SAW5 Designer enables the user to create their own selection sets.


Standards
Some assistive technology needs to meet Australian or other standards. Standards may relate to materials, manufacturing and installation.
