Short Description
A computer program designed to make websites more accessible. The program will read web pages aloud using speech activation technology by highlighting or moving the mouse cursor over the words to be read.

Price Guide
Refer to supplier information for pricing details.

More Details
To access websites with the BrowseAloud computer program, the user is required to download the free BrowseAloud program through the BrowseAloud web site. Once the user has downloaded the program the user will only be able to access websites where the owner of the website has purchased a BrowseAloud licence.

Once the program has been activated and the user visits a website with a BrouseAloud licence, the mouse curser will change colour to identify that the website can be used with the BrowseAloud program. To activate the speech, the user can hold the mouse curser over the text or highlight the text they require to be read aloud.

The user can control the speed and pitch of the voice. Keys can be programmed to activate or deactivate the speech.

The program has a user defined pronunciation engine that allows a user to add words and define how a word is pronounced with the option to add alternative voices to those standard on the computer.
