Short Description
A portable, electronic reading aid in the shape of a pen. When the pen is rolled across typed text and it will read the text out loud. It can read a single word or a line of words. The text is also visually displayed in large characters on the pen's LCD screen. The pen is adjustable for left or right handed users.

Features
The pen can be used to scan printed words and displays these words on an LCD screen, and announces words aloud. The pen features a dictionary of over 200,000 words and expressions, and announces a single word's definition. It can also display syllables and spells words aloud.
The pen can recognise a range of fonts and sizes. The speech volume, speed and pitch are adjustable.
The pen is battery powered.
Scanning requires the user to hold the pen steady. The Reading Pen has wheels which can facilitate scanning in a straight line for those with a slight hand tremor.
NOTE: functions of the pen are operated via pressing small buttons, which may be difficult for some users.
