Short Description
SAFE RETURN is a joint project of the Alzheimer's Association SA and the SA Police. A bracelet engraved with a personalised number is linked to the SA Police database.

Features
When a person with dementia is registered with SAFE RETURN, carers are asked to provide detailed information about that person, including a full physical description and possible places that the person may try to visit. Contact details of two carers are also registered.
The front of the bracelet shows the SAFE RETURN logo and Alzheimer's Association SA. On the reverse is a personalised number and "Phone 11 444 or police" which makes the system accessible from anywhere in South Australia. The bracelet is made of stainless steel, with a secure safety clasp that is virtually impossible to remove without assistance. The bracelet is designed to be worn at all times by the registered person.
Standards
