Short Description
The Vanguard is a portable voice output communication device that can be accessed via a touch screen, optical headpointing, visual and/or auditory switch scanning. The device also has the capabilitiy to be used as an environmental control unit which can operate any household appliance controlled via a remote control.

The Vanguard comes with a choice of 10 voices and can record up to 59 minutes of recorded messages.
The Vanguard features a full colour touch screen display with adjustable back lighting and contrast.
The Vanguard comes with a variety of symbols and word overlays. It has a library of 2000 pictures for use on the touch screen and you can add digital photographs and other images.
Language is generated using word prediction, Minspeak or dynamic display communication pages. Communication pages may have 4 to 45 symbol squares per page.
The Vanguard can be connected to a Windows or Macintosh computer using the cables supplied. The Vanguard can be used as a computer keyboard and mouse. Shortcut keys such as website addresses can also be programmed.
Supplied with an internal rechargeable battery.
