Short Description
A sheet of nylon material with grip handles on each corner designed to assist the user to transfer from a wheelchair in the aisle, to a seat on the aeroplane.

Features
The Aero Transfer Slider is composed of a red square of very low friction nylon sheeting with a fluorescent green webbing handle encased in plastic at each corner. Designed for the user to be assisted with the transfer by two attendants, one on each side.
The Aero Transfer Slider is inserted by folding it and sliding it behind the seated client and under the buttocks. One attendant takes hold of two handles and pulls the client towards them in a sideways sliding action, at the same time, the other attendant takes hold of the other two handles and pushes the client away from them.
It can be used in conjunction with a slide board, but if the gap between the wheelchair and the seat is very small, it may be possible to do the transfer without a slide board
The Aero Transfer Slider is made of breathable material so if can be left under the user during the flight, however it is very slippery and care must be taken to ensure the user does not slip of the seat. If the slider is left under the user during the flight then it is essential that their seat belt is remains buckled at all times.

Cleaning Requirements
It can be cleaned in a washing machine with water up to 80C. Air dry only, do not tumble dry or wring.
Caution
Although the Aero Transfer Slider comes with instructions for use the supplier recommends that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.
