Short Description
A cushion made from a layer of foam bonded to a layer of AKTON viscoelastic polymer material. Available with knit cover. Customised sizes are available.

Features
The cushion is designed to dissipate body heat. It does not absorb body fluids, urine or odours, is self healing if punctured, X-ray translucent.
The cover has a slip-resistant base, is washable, and comes with a carry handle.
The Centurian has 16mm of AKTON polymer and 16mm of foam. It provides pressure and shear reduction.
The cushion is sealed in waterproof film to prevent moisture damage.
Options
Replacement cushion covers available as either a basic cover or incontinence cover.
Customised sizes are available.

Caution
All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg. correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level), a different product may need to be considered.
It is also important to ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.
