Short Description
A cushion with a foam base and viscoelastic polymer layer that attaches to the base with hook and loop tape. Available in four different models that have varying levels of contouring, and one model with a drop seat base. All cushions come with a low shear or incontinent cover that zips off.
There are a range of standard sizes, or the cushions may be customised.

Models
Xact Classic
The Xact classic cushion comprises of a foam base and a polymer cube pad that fastens to the base with hook and loop tape. The foam base is made from a fast recovery foam with slow recovery foam insert in the region of the ischial tuberosity.
Xact Integrated
The Xact integrated cushion has the same features as the Xact classic, but has a lightweight drop base that reduces the overall height of the cushion from seat to floor. There are 22mm or 25mm diameter cane hook configurations for attachment to the wheelchair frame. The base can be customised to fit over different diameter cross members on the wheelchair.
Xact Individual
The Xact individual allows for a custom built cushion through the use of a seating assessment kit comprising different pieces including pelvic blocks, adductors and abductors, pelvic obliquity build ups onto a flat base. When the required configuration is designed, a foam base is made up with the same contouring and is sealed. The polymer cube pad fits over the top of the contoured base with hook and loop tape.
Xact lo-pro
The Xact lo-pro has the same design as the classic, but is a lower profile cushion and has moderate contouring.
Xact Twister and Twister LT
The Xact Twister comprises of a front foam section with the back portion consisting of a foam base and the polymer cube pad on top.

Caution
All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg. correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level), a different product may need to be considered.
It is also important to ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.
