Traxx Wheelchair

Short Description
A powered, rear wheel drive wheelchair with adjustable seat angle, backrest angle, armrest height and pad position and legrest height. This wheelchair contains a sculpted, padded back and contoured seat. This wheelchair accommodates most seating systems. Customisation and a range of options are available. There is a sports model available which has wider tyres.

Features
This wheelchair is available in either a coloured or chrome finish and offers a variety of seating options. The seat width, depth and backrest angle can be adjusted. It features manual seat tilt, or powered seat tilt.

The wheelchair is operated via a joystick control which can be programmed for speed range and sensitivity. Alternative controllers are available. Split control system is available which can drop down from the armrest to enable closer access to a table and it also features counter-lever suspension.

TRANSPORTING the chair is facilitated by folding the backrest forwards.

FREEWHEELING mechanism is operated by a pull out and twist action on the rear wheel hubs.

BATTERY CHARGING is achieved by connecting the charger provided to a mains power point and plugging it into the chair at the marked charging terminal.

REAR WHEELS are 320mm(12.5") diameter x 60mm(2") pneumatic tyres.

FRONT WHEELS are 200mm(8") diameter x 50mm(2") solid rubber.

ARMRESTS are removable, height adjustable and the armpad position can be adjusted. The height adjustment ranges from 160mm (6") to 280mm (11"). The arm pad position can be adjusted by 100mm (4"). Armrests also feature a suspension system.

LEGRESTS are swingaway or removable. The legrest length can be adjusted from 360mm (14") to 510mm (20"). Footplates are flip-up.

As of May 1998, a licence is no longer required in South Australia for the use of powered wheelchairs or scooters.
