A powered, four wheel drive, large wheel wheelchair designed for rough, uneven, off road terrain. Available with a range of options.

More Details
This four wheel drive electric wheelchair features a steel frame with a moulded fibreglass body, which incorporates a one piece fixed footplate. The cowlings are available in a range of colours. A push handle is integrated into the backrest of the chair.

The foam padded seat features a high backrest with contoured padding, which can be reclined manually as standard. Powered backrest recline is optional. The quick release padded armrests are height adjustable. The padded headrest is height adjustable.

The wheelchair is operated via a joystick control which has five programmable speed settings, a horn, a key lock, and a digital battery charge gauge.

The frame features a high intensity, 24 volt LED lighting system with headlights, indicator lights and brake lights.

Some customisation is available.

Transporting the chair as a whole unit is necessary due to its weight and size.

Freewheeling mechanism is operated via two small levers located at the back of the chair, in the middle of the wheel base between the rear wheels.

Battery Charging is achieved by connecting the charger provided to a mains power point and plugging it into the chair at the marked charging terminal on the end of the armrest / joystick control.

Batteries are sealed 40 Amp gel batteries stored under the seat, under a fibreglass cover. 73 Amp batteries are optional.

Motors are high speed, high torque, high efficiency gear in-line motors.

Wheels are 350mm (14") diameter, knobby tyres with alloy wheels and split rims. An optional front wheel steering lock is available to assist with straight driving over long distances.

Armrests are padded, height adjustable and removable.

Footplate is a single piece, flip up footplate. Two-piece, flip up, removable and height adjustable footplates are optional. Manual or powered elevating legrests are also optional.

Brakes are electromagnetic.

As of May 1998, a licence is no longer required in South Australia for the use of powered wheelchairs and scooters.
