Chandi Walker

Short Description
A mild steel, rigid, height adjustable, walking frame designed for children aged 2 to 8 years. Features adjustable components to suit a range of users. The walker is designed to provide pelvic support and hands free movement. Available in two sizes. Can be customised.

Features
The walker is suitable for children who have head control, independent sitting balance and an ability to weight bear and step when supported at the pelvis.

BASE: The base consists of a rectangular powder coated, steel frame with an open front and castors on all four corners. Each corner has a bumper to prevent damage to walls and furniture.

CASTORS: Two front castors swivel and can be locked if required. Rear castors are fixed solid rubber. The rear castors have a ratchet function to prevent backwards movement.

PELVIC SUPPORT: The pelvis is supported during walking with an adjustable pelvic stabiliser. The stabiliser is comprised of a central pad at the back, two side pads and two groin bars which secure the pelvis. The pads are padded and covered with vinyl and the groin bars have a foam and neoprene covering. The groin bar can be adjusted in angle using an allen key. The upper body is unsupported. The height is adjustable by loosening two large screw knobs.

DISMANTLING: The walker can be dismantled for transport by folding the vertical bar to a horizontal position.

The walker can be customised to suit the user's needs.

The maximum and minimum measurements are taken from the floor to the top of the pelvic bone.
