U-Step Walking Stabiliser

Short Description
A folding, stainless steel, mobile walking frame featuring a u shaped base, height adjustable handles, lift up padded seat, basket and infrared
laser. The walker brakes are permanently locked on unless released by lightly squeezing the hand brake to allow movement.

More Details
To engage the walker into freewheel: release the brakes by squeezing the hand brake levers located underneath each of the hand grips. The padded back support bar can also be reversed by swinging it over to form a single push handle which can be pushed down to enable the walker to be wheeled. This can be used one-handed.
Releasing the levers or back support bar will lock the brakes back on and stop the walkers movement.

The hand grips are made from contoured rubber are height adjustable via a push button mechanism.

The frame can be folded flat by lifting a release lever on each vertical support and pulling the hand grips down. The frame has five swivelling double castors with two on either side, and one at the front beam and two central, larger wheels. The wheel at the front of the walker is spring loaded.

The rolling speed can be adjusted by turning the tension adjusting knobs located at the central wheels at the base of the unit. This feature may help to control walking speed.

An optional laser projected red line can be used as a visual cue to overcome "freezing". It is operated via a small red button located on the handle.


Options
Laser light: Operated by pressing a red button located on the handlebar. A bright red laser line is projected on the floor for the user to step over.
Flip-up seat: attaches to the cross brace via two screw-on clamps.
Basket: attaches to the frame beneath the seat by via two screw-on clamps.
