Short Description
Bed Side Bumpers are foam wedges designed to help prevent the user from rolling out of bed. The two bumpers are joined by a nylon sheet that sits across the bed, and two straps on either side attach the bumpers to the frame of the bed. Designed to be positioned at the torso level. Customised sizes are available.
Caution
The side elevations may impact on the ability of the user to transfer or mobilise in bed, especially if the Bed Side Bumpers are fitted too low in the bed.
More Details
The Bed Side Bumpers are covered with a breathable waterproof cover that can be removed for hand or machine washing.
After fitting the wedges the bed is made as normal with the sheets and blankets placed over the wedges.
Attachment straps can be hook and loop or ties.
The width of nylon sheet can be customised to suit the width of the bed.
The length of the bumpers may be customised to suit individual needs.

Standard Bed Side Bumpers
Bed Side Wedges - two sets of bumpers one positioned at the torso and another set lower down to prevent the user's legs from moving off the mattress.
Options
A top cover is also available. This restricts the user's ability to get in and out of bed.
Method Of Use
Place the bumpers on the bed at the level between the user's arms and hips. The four webbing straps should be correctly wrapped around the bed side frame rail and then fastened together.
To get into bed, the user sits on the side of the bed next to the bumper, so when they lie down the bumper is between the user's arms and hips.
