Short Description
A small foam, tampon like product with tape attached to the base. Provides an alternative to pads for people who have faecal incontinence. It is inserted into the anus to prevent external bowel leakage. Available in two sizes.

The Anal Plug is made of a soft foam which retains its softness in use.
The Anal Plug is compressed by a water soluble film. When the plug is inserted, the warmth and moisture of the rectum dissolves the film (this occurs after 30 seconds). The plug expands and conforms to the shape of the rectal cavity. The plug may be left in the rectum for up to 12 hours. The plug is removed by pulling the tape.
