This bath has the side entry access and powered raising, lowering and reclining options. Recline and height adjustment is operated via push buttons on a control handset. A contoured headrest supports the user's head in the reclined position. A multiple dual-speed air spa can be activated for therapeutic use.
The side opening door allows the bather to transfer from a wheelchair to sit on the in-built moulded seat. The door is lever operated and can be locked into position.
Two contoured grab rails are located in the bath to provide support to the user.
A battery back-up system is incorporated into the bath for emergency lowering if the mains power fails.
The bath features an automatic pre-fill of the bath's foot well. A thermostatic mixer enables the water to be set to a safe temperature. Once the user is transferred into the bath, water flows up from the foot well around the user. The arched base of the bath facilitates hoist transfers. Once bathing is complete, the bath can be returned to the upright position and the water flows back into the foot well, allowing the door to be opened immediately. A pop-up drain/overflow enables quick outflow of water and is operated using a screw knob.
A cleaning and disinfection system allows a carer or user to disinfect the bath tub, including handles and control handset.
