CONTENTS: Three clients and their families demonstrate various techniques and skills in manual wheelchair assistance and handling.
* The first client is a woman with multiple sclerosis. Her primary carer is her husband. They demonstrate lifting the manual wheelchair in to and out of boot.
* The second client has quadriplegia. He and his paid carer demonstrate accessing the environment. They negotiate up and down kerbs, with the use of tipping levers; accessing uneven terrain; and descending a steep ramp and slope.
* The third client is a young women who has paraplegia. She discusses the importance of maintaining castors and rear wheels. She then demonstrates accessing an inaccessible entrance, with the assistance of two people completing a safe lift.
