Short Description
The Bedex Slider Mat is a complete system which includes a highly adaptable, versatile low - friction exercise mat system designed by a physiotherapist. Can be used in lying, sitting, or standing. Suitable for users of all ages. Comprises a base mat and mobile pads available in a range of sizes. Can be customised.

MATERIALS:
1. Base Mats - slide sheet material backed with a soft vinyl.
2. Mobile Pads - slide sheet material backed with a soft, padded vinyl.
COMPONENTS:
1. Base Mats - is available in two sizes (or can be customised for the user):
(a) Standard base mat - can be used on plinths, tabletop, wall, floor, or domestic beds. The base mat can be suspended from two sturdy webbing anchors using strong clips.
(b) Large base mat - accommodates larger movements. The large base mat can be suspended from three sturdy webbing anchors using strong clips.
2. Mobile Pads - are smaller than the base mats. Available in three sizes to allow a range of exercises, stretches, positions, and body dimensions:
(a) Small mobile pad
(b) Medium mobile pad
(c) Large mobile pad
There is also a range of kits available for the practitioner that incorporates a range of the above components. Please contact the supplier for more details.
Method Of Use
There is a comprehensive Practitioners Manual available outlining specific exercises and other uses e.g. bed mobility, sliding board transfers.
The base mat is used on a surface such as a bed, wall, table, or floor with the low friction surface uppermost / outermost. The mobile pads are placed with the low friction surface facing the base mat. The body part being exercised is placed on the mobile pads. According to the manufacturer when the low friction surfaces are used together, a large range of exercises and stretches are possible, including:
. Dynamic stretching
. Variable resistant exercises
. Light cardiovascular exercises
. Core stability exercises
. Muscle toning
. Balance retraining
Safety Features
All users and practitioners should be provided with the following information
"Due to the low friction properties of the Bedex Slide Mat, the users should:
. remove the base mat and mobile pads from the floor or bed as soon as the exercises have been completed.
. commence use of the Bedex Slide Mat only after training / instructions.
. use the Bedex Slider Mat only as instructed.
. if any difficulties are experiences, cease the exercise and contact your practitioner.
. do not allow children to use the Bedex Slider Mat without supervision."
All practitioners are advised to incorporate this advice in exercise programs or as a handout with the any Bedex Slide Mats loaned, hired, or sold.

Cleaning Requirements
The manufacturer states wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry flat in the shade. Store in the bag provided in a dry place away from dust and heat. Avoid folding the the mobile pads.
Do not spray with chemicals, use talcum powder, or apply stickers / tape to the Bedex Slider Mat. Keep away from flames / heat.
