Short Description
The Ergoport PosturePod is a sloping desktop supportive base with provision for a keyboard and mouse pad or telephone. Can be used with an optional monitor stand. A range of other options are also available including an flip document stand.
More Details
MATERIALS: Made from durable plastic with soft cushioning in sections for the elbows and hands.
COLOURS: Standard colours are beige, black, charcoal or oyster. Special colour range includes blue, purple or aqua. Also available from the manufacturer in corporate colours with orders of ten or more units.
COMPONENTS: The flip document stand is an optional extra and can be used in conjunction with the Ergoport. It provides a sloped writing surface at the desk when not using the computer keyboard. The surface is made of perspex and is split to provide access to the numerical keypad. This could be useful for accountancy work when working with spreadsheets.
The extension pod is available in a right handed or left handed model and provides an alternate area for positioning the mouse.
METHOD OF USE: The Ergoport is designed to provide support for the elbows and forearms while using a keyboard. The user positions themselves in the middle of the cut out area with elbows placed on each side close to their torso. The keyboard is placed in the keyboard recess directly in front of the user which decreases the angle of wrist extension and eliminates pressure on the median nerves.
INSTALLATION: The Ergoport is attached to the desktop using two self adhesive Velcro strips. It is positioned so the middle of the cut out section is level with or beyond the edge of the table.
Models
Several models of the Ergoport Keyboard and Mouse Support are available:
The EP1 is suitable for a small to medium sized individual who uses a conventional keyboard.
The EP2 is adjustable to suit different body sizes and allows for a Goldtouch split keyboard, mouse on either the left or right side with room for a telephone, notepad or writing tools on the other.
The EP3 is suitable for medium to larger individuals and has a deeper keyboard recess section for reduced wrist extension (right hand side mouse use only).
The EPDESK is a complete desk with a choice of Ergoport set into the corner, and a range of melamine finishes.
