Short Description
A compact mechanical keyboard that can be used in place of a standard computer keyboard with PC compatible computers. It features a QWERTY layout, standard size keys that are slightly lower and closer together than standard keyboard keys and an embedded, rather than separate, numeric keypad. The keyboard surface is flat, similar to a laptop computer keyboard.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: PC Compatible computers.
INTERFACE: Standard keyboard port - specify specific requirements as adaptors are available.
INSTALLATION: Plug and Play connection via keyboard port. No software installation required.
METHOD OF USE: Functions as a standard keyboard.
FEATURES: - Standard QWERTY alpha key layout with function keys compacted across the top and down the right side. Number keypad is embedded rather than separate.
- A flat surface similar to a laptop keyboard.
CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Adjustable legs allow the angle of the keyboard to be adjusted.
COMMENTS: - May be useful for one-handed typist with previous experience or preference for standard keyboard layout.
- Reduction of total display area may be beneficial for users who have reduced movement range (eg using one hand only) and in some situations where pain/discomfort is a concern.
- Some people may find the keys are too close to comfortably use the one handed touch typing technique 'Five Finger Typist' which utilises 4 home keys in a row. This is more likely to be a concern for people with large hands.
- Flat surface enables a good fit if a keyguard is required.
- Flat surface may be easier for a person using a typing splint/pointing aide - there is no rise between the rows and slighly lighter touch than standard keyboard keys is required.
