Short Description
A portable steel mounting system that can be used to position communication devices on a table surface. It can be adjusted to hold the device at a variety of angles. The mount consists of either a base or Manfrotto style clamp and U-shaped tube that the device attaches to. This mount interfaces with the quick release plate and the mounting plate compatible with your Communication Device.

USE:
Designed to accommodate any communication device with a suitable mounting plate attachment. Mounting plates are purchased separately with the supplier of the communication devices
ADJUSTMENT:
Small amount of height adjustment available.
Able to tilt device on various angles.
COMMENTS:
With large and heavy devices it is important to ensure that the positioning of the device places it within the area of the DESK MOUNT base to reduce any tendency to tip. It must also be recognised that the DESK MOUNT may slide about when the keyboard or touch screen is directly accessed.
GENERAL PRESCRIPTION CONSIDERATIONS:
Wheelchair type: Daessy mounts can be purchased for lightweight manual to heavier power chairs however not all Daessy mounts will be universally compatible with your chair
Type of device: Some Daessy mounts may be more suitable than others for the specific communication device your client is considering
Ability of user: Whether the client of carer to perform swing away or side folding action of the mount arm will affect which Daessy mount is more suitable.
Storage / removal of mount: Consider where the device will be mounted and if it needs to be removed / replaced quickly. This will affect the type of mount selected
Clamp type: Do you require a round or a square frame clamp for your chair?
Frame clamp size; All Daessy mounts come with a 1 inch (25mm) clamp as standard. This may not suit your chair. Larger clamps are available on request.
INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE:
All non-locking mounts must be removed and all locking mounts must be locked when travelling in a motor vehicle
Bolts on mount should be checked and tightened on a regular basis
