Short Description
Priority Assistance is a service for telstra residential customers (or people living in their own homes) who have a diagnosed life-threatening medical condition and whose life may be at risk without access to a fully-operational telephone service.

Priority customers service and fault repair needs are prioritized over other customers when there are no other identified telecommunication means available.

Eligibility criteria applies. Not available for mobile phones.

Who is Eligible?

Telstra residential customers: If a Telstra residential customer or someone living at their home has a diagnosed life-threatening medical condition with a high risk of rapid deterioration and whose life may be at risk without access to a working telephone, the customer could be eligible.
Customers of other service providers: This is a service for customers who have their access and local services with Telstra. If you believe you meet the criteria for Priority Assistance service, but are not a Telstra customer, you should contact your service provider directly.
What are the eligible Medical Conditions?
There are a range of medical conditions including cardiovascular, mental health, respiratory and other life-threatening and/or high risk conditions. For a current list of conditions, please discuss with your doctor, or contact Telstra to discuss your needs.

Priority customers are provided with the highest level of service practicably available at the time on the connection and fault repair of a standard telephone service.

Timeframes for repairs can be up to 48 hours, depending on your location.

Telstra does not guarantee fault-free services.
