Short Description
An emergency call system consisting of a telephone interface unit which sits under the telephone and a red alarm button which is located on the telephone or worn as a waterproof neck pendant or on a wrist band. It is monitored 24 hours/day and open line 2 way communication is activated as soon as the alarm is triggered. The transmitter / alarm button can also be used to answer a phone call and hang up (ie. hands free)

Emergency Call System It can be activated from approximately 50m indoors and 80m outdoors.

MONITORING
The monitoring base is able to be used in all areas of Australia where a phone line is available.

TESTING PROCEDURE
Client initiates either as daily or monthly test call (depending on type of subscription), to the monitoring Centre's computer (programmable). If not completed, the monitoring centre will make contact with the subscriber. Should that fail, the monitoring service will begin to contact the subscriber's nominated emergency contacts.

There is only one model of base unit and pendant available with the system.

Up to 8 pendants, individually programmed to identify each user at the base station
Long range pendants
"Mandown": Person wears belt clip transmitter with aerial. If the person falls greater than 30 degrees from vertical an alarm is triggered after 40 seconds. 500m range.
Proximity locator: if person wanders more than 50m from the phone an alarm is triggered.
Sip and puff switch (blow and suck)
Pressure pad switch

* 'Daily Call' facility (monthly fee applies).
Clients who use the 'Daily Call' are asked to press the daily call button on their alarm unit each morning between the hours of 7.00am and 11.00am. This means that the client is in contact with the response centre every 24 hours. If this button has not been pressed by 11.00am, a Safety Link monitor will ring to make sure all is well. If the client does not answer the call, the monitor will ring the nominated contacts and ask whoever is available to call in and check if there is a problem.
