Short Description
A large button telephone with a backlit display and an emergency call function. It comes with an emergency pendant that is worn around the neck of a person at risk. When the button is pressed an emergency call message is remotely activated. This is sent to the user`s chosen numbers. A red light flashes on the phone to alert of an incoming call. The pendant can be used to answer a call and activate the speakerphone.

FEATURES: EMERGENCY PENDANT
In an emergency, the pendant wearer can either press the red button on the pendant or the SOS button on the phone. This remotely activates the emergency call message which is sent to the users chosen numbers. The people alerted hear the pre recorded or self recorded message that assistance is required.
The effective range for the remote from the phone is described by the manufacturer as approximately 30 meters. The range depends on obstacles. A few trials of the phone with the caller recipients are recommended.

HANDSFREE SPEAKER PHONE
Offers hands free use when making or receiving a call. The phone can be answered by pressing the speakerphone button on the phone base or button on the pendant. The phone can also be hung-up by pressing the button on the pendant.

TALKING CALLER ID
This announces the callers name or number loudly and clearly so the users can identify the caller before they take the call.

AMPLIFIED RECEIVER
Allows the volume in the earpiece to be adjusted to a higher level for comfortable listening.

HEARING AID COMPATIBLE
The phone contains an inbuilt inductive coupler which offers Hearing Aid users clearer sound. Switch the hearing aid to the "T" setting to use this function.

TALKING KEYPAD
The keypad speaks out the numbers as they are pressed.

VISUAL RING INDICATOR
A red light flashes on the phone to alert of an incoming call.

BATTERY BACKUP
In case of power failure, batteries power the phone for up to 12hours. The phone includes 4 x AA batteries. Low battery indicator on backlit display.

BACKLIT DISPLAY
Handset LCD lights up when there is an incoming call or when the keys are touched.

BIG BUTTONS
Large high contrast keypad for easy dialing.

WALL MOUNTABLE
Allows the telephone to be mounted on the wall if required.

30 NAMES AND NUMBERS PHONEBOOK
Allows the most frequently dialed numbers to be stored. The programmer can choose which of the thirty numbers will be dialed when the emergency call function is activated and in which order they will be dialed. Able to dial mobile phone numbers.

AREAS FOR USE: Suitable for people "at risk" who live alone. The Oricom Care Phone delivers assurance for both the user and their family that in an emergency situation users can call for help without the need to get to their phone.

There are two models available.

The TP150 has a pendant that is worn around the neck.
The TP170 has a waterproof pendant that can be worn around the neck and wrist.

Options
Water resistant transmitter is available with the Care170 model.
