Short Description
A wireless alerting system designed for people with a hearing loss. Alerts to all or any the following events - the doorbell ringing, telephone ringing, baby crying or smoke alarm. System can be adapted/customized to suit the needs of the individual.

CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Able to be customised, with the assistance of a trained audiologist, to suit individual needs. Any combination of the system components is possible.

WARRANTY: 18 months warranty. Warranty void if leaking batteries damage the equipment.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The State Government will offer financial assistance for the purchase of smoke alarms that send out strobe lighting and/or link to a vibration pad which can shake enough to wake a person from their sleep. · Have (or be the dependent of a holder of) a Centrelink allowance, concession card, DVA Gold Repatriation Health Card or White Repatriation Health

Models
A number of different components are available. The Visit Pager Receiver is an essential component of each system. All other components are optional.

1. The Visit Pager Receiver - responds to signals from the transmitters by vibrating. It has individual indicator lights for each of the four transmitters and different vibration patterns to enable you to identify which area is sending the signal. The pager has a low battery warning signal which consists of short vibrations and a flashing light. The pager is available in two styles - a flashing and vibrating model and a model especially designed for people with low vision. The pager can be clipped to a belt etc.

2. The Visit Portable Receiver - responds to signals from the transmitters with a flashing light and corresponding sounds. There is a volume control to adjust the loudness of the sound. The portable receiver can also be attached to the Bed-Shaker that vibrates to alert when signals are received.

3. Doorbell Transmitter - when positioned near the existing doorbell, the doorbell transmitter will pick up the doorbell sound and send a signal to the receiver.

4. Telephone Transmitter - is attached to the telephone and when the phone rings, the telephone transmitter will send a signal to the receiver. This is the most versatile transmitter as it can also be used to monitor door entry, or be used as a doorbell, or get assistance such as a panic button.

5. Baby Cry Transmitter - when the baby cries the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver. It features three levels of sensitivity, as well as an adjustable time delay of 60 seconds and comes with its own stand so that it can be easily positioned. It comes with a small light on the front of the transmitter that flashes so that you can see that it is operating and this light changes colour when the batteries are low.

6. Smoke Alarm Transmitter - when smoke is detected, a signal is sent to the receiver. This detector has a flashing light to indicate normal battery status and sends a warning signal to the receiver when the battery is low.

7. Pager Charger - charges the visit pager overnight and provides connection for one or two bed-shakers. Has internal batteries to enable the system to work in the event of a power failure.

8. Bed Shaker - a vibrating pad that can be put under a pillow to alert the user of events when sleeping. It can be connected directly to the receivers or via the Visit Alarm Clock.

9. Visit Alarm Clock - Has a loud internal bell which can be used by itself or in conjunction with the Visit Bed-Shaker. Has normal alarm clock features such as an illuminated dial and snooze functions.

10. Alarm Clock - attracts users attention with a flashing light, sound and one or two bed shakes which vibrate (accessory).

11. Bellman magnetic switch - consists of 2 parts - a magnetic switch and a magnet. Magnetic switch is open when near to the magnet and closes to form a contact when the magnet is moved away. Can identify when windows, doors etc are open.

12. Bellman door entering contact mat- identifies whether a person is going in or out of a door, has got out of bed etc. Best for use with the Bellman Visit Telephone transmitter.
