More Details
RANGE: 1km in built up area. 4 - 5km over open ground. 35km from the air.

METHOD OF USE: The receiver pinpoints the direction from which the signal is coming, it's feedback tone increasing as the pendant (worn by the wanderer) is located. The receiver is carried in a leather case with a shoulder strap. The hand held antenna connects to the receiver and is used to ascertain the direction of the signal from the pendant transmitter. Different pendants have different frequencies so there is no confusion with multiple users.

INSTALLATION: The system consists of a radio transmitter installed in a pendant worn around the neck of the wanderer, or as a belt transmitter. The transmitters are sealed and fully water resistant. They have a battery life of approximately four months, after which they should be returned for replacement battery, testing and service.
