Short Description
The Chiayo iTalk Personal Amplifier is a portable, body worn voice amplifier used to increase the speech volume of a weak voice. It is designed to be used in conversational situations where background noise is minimal. May be useful for someone with a hearing impairment. Also useful in larger settings such as a classroom.
More Details
The Chiayo iTalk Personal Amplifier includes a headset microphone as standard accessory but it can be replaced by a lapel microphone, or other wired microphone (optional). The microphone input also doubles as line input for devices such as PC or music players.
The unit is powered by four AA rechargeable Nickel Metal-Hydride (NiMH) batteries which provide up to 10 hours of use. Recharging can be done overnight (6-8 hours). Alkaline AA batteries can be used in place of the rechargeable batteries if needed.
It is recommended that the client consult a speech pathologist about the use of the amplifier to see whether it is appropriate for their specific needs.
