Short Description
Headphones with built in volume controls can be used as TV or stereo listening devices for people with hearing impairment. Most headphones have individual volume controls for left and right ears over the "ear muff".

METHOD OF USE: Transmitter plugs in to the into the headphone jack on the TV (for single person listening ie only the person using the headphones will hear) or the audio/video jack (for multiple person listening). If headphones are stereo, a mono adaptor is necessary as TV sockets are usually monaural.
PEOPLE USEFUL FOR: Those with mild to moderate hearing loss. Note: Headphones can create sufficient electromagnetic field so that sound can be picked up by the hearing aid with a "T" [Telecoil] facility.
