Short Description
This product provides a direct connection and interface between the telephone and a cochlear implant speech processor (the external part of the implant) for clearer telephone reception. it consists of a small box about the size of a pager, with a handset selector switch and volume control, an adaptor output cord which connects to the speech processor and another cord which connects to the telephone handset socket.

OPERATION: The adaptor, a small unit about the size of a pager, eliminates interference and background noise from the telephone conversation and provides a clearer signal via a direct connection from the telephone to the person's speech processor [the external part of the implant].
COMMENTS: Telstra has made the adaptor available for rental to eligible customers as an extension of the range of specialised telephone equipment provided through Telstra's Disability Equipment Program. If the user already rents a telephone from Telstra, then the Adaptor will be provided at no additional charge.
CLEANING: Unplug the unit before cleaning. Do not use detergents or sprays. To clean the outside plastic parts, use only a damp cloth.
