Seat Belt Buckle Guard

Short Description
A small plastic device that fits over the release button of the seat belt. It is designed so that children are unable to release the buckle. A Medical Certificate must be supplied upon application. Contact the supplier for the application forms.

MATERIALS: reinforced plastic

COMPONENTS: The buckle guard consists of a cube shaped perspex plastic casing which is slid over the female section of a standard seat belt buckle.

COMMENTS: The buckle guard is designed for use with a standard seat belt and buckle with the traveller in a sitting position. Could be used with a booster seat. The guard can be easily removed by an adult if required. Suitable for any type of vehicle which has a seat belt assembly. Has slots to suit both front fastening and top fastening seat belt styles.

Models
Models: There are two models available to suit different seat belts:
1. Large - to suit Australian made cars such as Commodore, Falcon, Camry
2. Small - to suit imported cars, vans

Method Of Use
1. Slide the buckle guard over the female section of the seat belt buckle assembly with the hole towards the front of the buckle.
2. Fasten seat belt in the standard manner.
3. To unfasten seatbelt insert a car key into the slot either on the top or front of the buckle guard depending on the release point of the seat belt. .

Installation
No installation required. The guard can be removed and replaced as required by the owner.

Cleaning Requirements
The buckle guard can be wiped down or washed with warm soapy water as required.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
A doctor`s letter is required when using this device. The letter needs to state that the user is exempt on medical grounds from using a standard seatbelt. The letter must accompany the user at all times as it applies to all travel in a vehicle.

Compliance with relevant Standards is indicated by written certification that a product has been tested and assessed as compliant with specified Australian Standards.
