More Details
MATERIALS: The cleats (which attach to floor anchorages) are constructed from stainless steel. The Quattro standard has a durable plastic reel housing whilst the express and heavy duty models have a metal reel housing.

ATTACHMENT: The restraint system has four points of attachment to the wheelchair. It is compatible with Unwin rail floor fixings and with the Solo system. Attachment to the chair frame is via a purpose designed Karabiner clip or tongue and buckle clip. The restraint secures the wheelchair to the vehicle. When not in use, the webbing retracts into a hard cover case which keeps it clean and prevents damage.

FEATURES: Floor anchor points:
Compatible with Unwin longitudinal rail and ATF clips or solo fittings. Rail available includes standard ,heavy duty or surface mounted track alloy track which can be mounted into the floor to create a flush surface or surface mounted to 14.5mm.

The Quattro range has 3 models as follows:

QUATTRO - Standard retractable system with manual tensioning mechanism. The restraint incorporates a left or right tensioning handle to secure the wheelchair. The handle should face inwards to facilitate tensioning.

QUATTRO EXPRESS - Self tensioning and self retracting. A positive locking label on the webbing indicates when the reel is locked into place. There is a release button to assist with removing the restraints. The Quattro express has a metal reel casing and blue webbing.

QUATTRO HD - Heavy Duty system designed to sustain a wheelchair weight of up to 120kg during transport. Has a heavy duty metal cover, heavy duty karabiner hooks, an additional locking mechanism and rail fixing to assist in sustaining heavier wheelchairs. IT is fitted with a tensioning handle and release button. It is supplied standard as a combined system with the Split reel double inertia passenger restraint (2 or 3 point).

Occupant restraints - An occupant restraint must be used if a passenger is to travel in the restrained wheelchair. The Quattro and Quattro express are also available as a combined system with the use of a split reel double inertia harness (2 or 3 point).

METHOD OF USE: The following briefly describes how the restraint is to be fitted to the vehicle:
1. Wheel wheelchair over the tracking, brakes off.
2. Secure two front restraints around the wheelchair and into the tracking.
3. Pull wheelchair backward and put brakes on.
4. Attach rear straps to the wheelchair and the tracking. Using tensioning buckle, ensure the wheelchair is securely held in place. The straps should be tensioned so that they form a 45 degree angle to the floor.
5. Reverse procedure to remove wheelchair.

INSTALLATION: Queensland transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturers instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.

PEOPLE USEFUL FOR: Quattro systems are suitable for a large range of manual and power wheelchairs. The system is compatible with ATF (multi-user) anchorages or with pocket style (single-user) anchorages.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: To ensure Insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their insurance company of the approved vehicle modifications.

SAFETY: The webbing should be checked regularly for signs of wear or fraying. Nicks greater than 1mm necessitate replacement."

The product must be replaced immediately after it has been worn during a collision.

No restraint system is considered safe to use with the occupant of a scooter travelling while sitting in the scooter. The occupant must transfer to a normal vehicle seat for the journey.

CLEANING: The tracking needs to be cleaned on a regular basis (vacuumed, or brushed to remove any dirt) to ensure the restraint can lock into the tracking correctly. The restraints can be washed with warm soapy water. Abrasives or chemical cleaners should not be used.

GUARANTEE: 12 months from date of purchase
