More Details
METHOD OF USE: a) Position the wheelchair b) Attach front belts to the rail and wheelchair frame. c) Attach rear belts to the rail and wheelchair frame. d) Tighten the rear belts using the over centre buckle. e) An occupant restraint system must then be used to protect the wheelchair user in the event of an accident.

FEATURES: FRONT BELTS: Non-adjustable belts have a rail clip at one end for attachment to the alloy rail. The belt is looped around the wheelchair frame and locked using quick release press buckles. REAR BELTS: These are adjustable in length. The belts have a rail clip at one end for attachment to the alloy rail. The belt is looped around the wheelchair frame and locked once again using quick release buckles. The belts are tightened using the over centre buckle.

INSTALLATION: 1. ALLOY FLOOR RAILS can be either surface mounted or low profile. i) SURFACE MOUNTING: Rails are installed directly into the floor surface and rise approximately 41.5mm above the floor surface. ii) LOW PROFILE: Rails are recessed 12mm into the vehicle floor. Edges have a lip to hold the floor covering down. This model rises approximately 3mm above the floor and features a central channel so that grit will keep clear from where the restraint is connected to the rail. iii) END CAP: An alloy end cap is available for installation with the low profile rail to facilitate the removal of grit from the channel. 2. OCCUPANT RESTRAINTS. All restraints are independently connected to the floor or wall of the vehicle i) LAP BELT. A seat belt which fastens across the lap. Easy to apply and remove as it connects directly down to the floor rails. A lap belt will provide some protection but does not hold back the upper body. ii) LAP SASH BELT. This harness forms a lap and sash restraint. It connects into the floor tracking and extends to a D ring attatched to the side wall of the vehicle to change the angle of pull thus providing the sash restraint across the upper torso. (Reinforcement of the wall may be necessary to accommodate this). It is available in either a manual adjustment or retractable system. iii) EASILOK. A system where a lockable seat fixture with its own lap and sash harness can be locked into the floor rails. It can be used as a pasenger seat.

CUSTOMISED FEATURES: If existing seats in a van are of a suitable design, they may be mounted onto a lockable seat fixture which allows the seat to be locked onto the floor rail by a central plunger. The seat can be used by ambulant passengers or completely removed when space is required for wheelchairs.

COMMENTS: Belt system can be removed from the floor entirely when not in use.
Wheelchairs do not require any special fittings.
Ratchet tensioner reduces movement of the wheelchair during transport.
Allows for a range of flexible seating options and arrangements.
