Short Description
The Holden Combo has been modified to accommodate a person in a wheelchair as well as four other people if required. The wheelchair user is wheeled into the rear of the vehicle via a fold down ramp. The floor is lowered so most wheelchair users can see out the windows in front and at either side.

FRAME: The Holden Combo has been available on the Australian Market since 1996. The front of the Holden Combo is actually based on a Holden Barina (compact car) with a 1.4 L engine.
COLOURS: Available in Red or White.
FEATURES: RAMP: The ramp sits upright behind the two rear doors when travelling. To unlock the ramp, a lever needs to be turned to unlock it, then the ramp is pulled manually using a handle on it's side. The ramp is designed to assist a person to lower as it has a mechanism to take some of its weight.
RESTRAINTS: Electric front wheelchair restraints are connected outside the vehicle. These are retractable and can be locked or unlocked using a button on the rear door. These will retract as the wheelchair goes into the car, but will not allow it to roll back. Once in the van, two rear belts are attached to hold the wheelchair in position. The wheelchair restraints can have hook or seat belt buckle attachments. Rear restraints and lap/sash belt are quickly connected from behind the wheelchair when it is in position.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Includes a fire extinguisher, glass breaking hammer and seat belt cutter. These are located under the driver's seat.
OPTIONS: 1-2 Fold-up rear passenger seats; air conditioning [when power steering fitted]; power steering; driver's airbag; immobiliser with remote locking to all doors; alarm; full colour coding of the exterior. Automatic transmission option available. "Auto Clutch" semi-automatic option - converts a manual car to a 2-pedal operation. Simply press a button while changing gear and let Auto Clutch do the work.
COMMENTS: Able to accommodate several styles of scooters (depending on size) - modifications provide for an area of 1.5m high and usable floor space 1.6m. Compact size van for parking and driving. Meets Australian registration requirements, passing rigorous tensional testing by automotive engineers. There is a possibility of using second hand Holden Combos to be converted, or the manufacturer can source second hand Holden Combos.
Other standard modifications include floor section dropped and reinforced down to achieve maximum head height, installation of tinted side sliding windows and a front bubble window above the cabin, a new fuel tank, relocation of spare wheel and additional interior trimming.
WARRANTY: Modified components carry a three year, 100,000km warranty.
