Bruno Manual Wheelchair Lifter  - trunk mounted (AWL100)

Short Description
A range of lifters designed to load folding or rigid (AWL-150 model only) manual wheelchairs into a vehicle. The lifters are semi-automated and are powered by the vehicle`s battery. There are two models which can be mounted into the side door or rear door of a sedan, hatchback, station wagon, minivan or full-size van.

CONTROLS: Controls are located on a hand held pendant which is stowed on the inside of the vehicle.

OPERATION: The lifters are powered by the vehicle`s battery. As an option, the lifters can be powered by a power pack which is plugged into the vehicle power outlet.
The lifter automatically raises and lowers the wheelchair. The user must manually tilt and guide the wheelchair into and out of the trunk.

AREAS FOR USE: These lifters are suitable for manual folding wheelchairs weighing up to 25kg. The boot mounted lifter is suitable for most types of vehicles including sedans, station wagons and hatchbacks. The rear and side door mounted models are suitable only for minivans and vans.

Three models are available. These vary in the mounting location as follows:
AWL-150 Rear door mounted
AWL-1600 Side door mounted


Method Of Use
1. Position the vehicle at the rear of side of the car (depending on the model used). Remove the seat and hook the lift claw to the T bar docking device.
2. Push the UP button on the pendant. The lifter will tilt the wheelchair into the horizontal position with the user`s guidance.
3. Continue to push the UP button until the wheelchair is above the trunk opening.
4. Swing the wheelchair above the trunk opening and towards the cavity.
5. push the DOWN button to lower the wheelchair into the trunk and remove the lift claw from the docking device. The lift and wheelchair should both fit in the trunk.

Caution
Queensland transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturers instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.
