Short Description

CONTROLS: Controls are located on a pendant mounted on the lift arm. Controls consist of an up/down switch.
OPERATION: The operation of the lifters is semi-automated. The lifter completes powered raising and lowering. The user must then manually rotate the lift arm and guide the scooter into and out of the trunk. This motion is dual spring assisted and the manufacturer states that the effort required is less than 1.5kg of force.
DISMANTLING: The Space-Saver needs to be dismantled for transport.
OPTIONS: When an additional tower base assembly is ordered, it can be used in more than one vehicle.
APPLICATION: The Offset Lifters are suitable for small scooters (partially disassembled) weighing up to can raise and store many types of three wheel scooters and powered wheelchairs weighing up to 91 kgs.

Method Of Use
* Connect the docking device to the scooter.
* Push the 'up` button to raise the scooter.
* Manually swing and position the scooter inside the boot opening.
* Push the 'down` button to lower the scooter to the floor of the boot.
* Disconnect the docking device and raise the lift strap.
FOR SPACE SAVER MODEL:
* To disassemble, remove the Low Profile Outer Arm, placing it in the boot or inside the car.
* Remove the Horizontal Pivot Tube and store it witth the Low-Profile Outer Arm.
* Remove the Vertical Offset Post and place it with the other lift components.
FOR FOLDING MODEL:
Fold the lift arm down into the boot. Stow the scooter towards the front of the vehicle and the lift arm closest to the boot opening.

Queensland transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturers instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate.
