Short Description
Electric lifting device designed to load partially dismantled three wheeled electric scooters into the boot of a sedans, hatchbacks, station wagons and SUVs. The unit raises and lowered automatically but some manual effort is required to manoeuvre the scooter in and out of the boot.

POWER: The lift is electrically powered from the vehicle's battery.
ASSEMBLY: A base plate is mounted to the floor of the vehicle. A swinging arm fits to the base plate (and usually remains fitted). This arm houses the motor which drives a webbing strap winch system.
AREAS FOR USE: The Scooter Lift Junior was designed to help raise and store three wheeled scooters in most car boots, station wagons or hatchbacks, as long as the opening is large enough to accept the partially disassembled scooter and compact lift.
COMMENTS: Each vehicle and item to be loaded must be measured and assessed for its suitability.

Method Of Use
The usual requirements to operate the scooter lift for loading a scooter into a station wagon are:
* Lift off seat and tiller and load into vehicle (an optional seat assist bracket is available).
* Swing arm into position.
* Attach battery to obtain power.
* Use push button control to lower the strap.
* Hook the strap onto the bracket fitted to the scooter seat shaft.
* Raise the scooter with the push button control.
* Once raised, lightly push to position scooter in the vehicle before lowering to the floor.
Options
Also available with the added option of a spring assist feature. This can further reduce the effort needed to raise and lower the lift arm before and after use.

Caution
Queensland transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturers instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate.
