Short Description
An internal electromechanical wheelchair lift for side door entry to full-size vans with both stepwell and flat-floor installations available. A tri-folding, single-post design helps to conserve space within the vehicle and offers the driver and passengers a clearer view out the side of the vehicle. A single-function switch operates the folding mechanism and a remote is available.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
12 V electric motor powers a gear-driven ball screw assembly, drives the lifting mechanism to raise or lower the platform. The platform is made of a strong, powder-coated formed steel construction, with a non-slip metal surface. It features a powered bridgeplate and outboard roll stop which act as loading and unloading rams when deployed.
VEHICLES:
Can be fitted to the VW Transporter, Mercedes Benz Vito/Viano, Renault Traffic, Peugeot Expert, Iveco Daily, Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato range of vehicles
LIFT CONTROL:
The lift is controlled by a standard hand-held pendant control with one switch controlling the operation of the lift.
Optional controls include: a handrail switch controlling the up/down function, dash-mounted toggle switch controls, a dash-mounted touch-pad control, taillight magnetic switch, rear exterior control with keylock and a remote control system.
DOOR OPERATORS:
Optional automatic door operator kits are available for swing and slide door on Chevy, Ford and Dodge Vans (as this is an American product - these may not be available for Australian vehicles)

Method Of Operation
METHOD OF ACTION:
The operator opens the vehicle's doors and activates the toggle switch to the unfold position. The platform automatically unfolds and stops. When the operator releases and reactivates the same switch - this enables the unfold function until the platform is horizontal. The bridgeplate will deploy when the platform reaches the horizontal position. The operator once again releases and reactivates the toggle switch enabling the down function. The lift will automatically stop at ground level and deploy the outboard roll stop.
After boarding, the operator activates the toggle switch in the stow direction. The outboard roll stop raises up and the platform slightly levels. The platform then rises - elevating the wheelchair passenger from the ground up to the floor of the van. The lift stops automatically at floor level and deploys the bridgeplate. After the user / passenger has exited the platform, the switch can be activated to fold and stow the platform again.
