Short Description
A range of powered, folding platform lifts designed to lift a person seated in a manual or powered wheelchair in and out of a vehicle. They feature a unique fold- in- half platform design so that when the lift is stowed, it provides an unobstructed view for the driver. They are mounted to the side of the vehicle. There is one model available that is available in a range of different platform sizes.

More Details
MATERIALS: The platform lift is constructed of epoxy coated stainless steel with a steel mesh platform.

CONTROLS: Standard: Hand- held control on extendable lead with four buttons for up/ down and fold/ unfold.
Option: Radio remote control.

POWER: The lifts are powered by a hydraulic pump with manual hand pump and release valve if required. A built- in manual back- up system is standard.

OPERATION: STORAGE WHILST TRAVELLING: the platform folds in half and the lift folds up inside the door for storage so not to obstruct the driver`s view.

INSTALLATION: Queensland Transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturer`s instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: To ensure insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their insurance company of the approved modifications.

SAFETY: . Unobstructed view from within the vehicle for the driver.
. Patented interlocked occupant restraint belt i.e. ensures the lift will not operate unless the belt is secure.
. Automatic inboard and outboard roll stops i.e. to prevent the user`s wheelchair rolling over the inside and outside edge of the platform whist in use.
. Two tiered outer barrier.
. On board platform lighting.
. Patented Sto-Loc design to prevent lift drifting i.e. to ensure a steadier lifting motion.
