Short Description
A powered wheelchair lifter suitable for use in a wide variety of vans using the side or rear door. The lift stows inside the vehicle at a lower height than usual which provides greater visibility out the side door windows of the vehicle. Suitable for most manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters with occupant.

CONTROLS: . Colour coded rocker switches which is marked with the control`s function allow operation by users with limited dexterity.
. A remote control of all lift functions is an option.
POWER: . The wheelchair lift is powered.
. In the event of a power failure, a manual backup pump is within reach of the user and allows the platform to be raised and lowered manually.
FEATURES: . Suitable for side or rear van doors.
. The platform is large enough to accommodate most wheelchairs and scooters.
. The lift can be used in vehicles without raised doors or van tops.
OPERATION: The user opens the vehicle`s door/s. The "unfold" switch on the hand-held control (or the optional remote control) is activated. The stacking platform will then unfold automatically. It will stop at the vehicle floor level. The user then activates the "down" switch to bring the platform down to the ground level. The spring loaded outboard roll stop will deploy automatically. After boarding the platform, the user activates the hand rail mounted "up" switch. The platform will stop at the vehicle floor level. After the user enters the vehicle, the "fold" switch is activated. The platform will then fold automatically to the stowed position.
TRANSPORTATION: The lift stows in a folded position inside the vehicle. The lift fold vertically or horizontally to provide greater visibility out the side or rear door windows of the vehicle.

Vehicle door open and close functions can be powered.
Remote control to drive all lift functions (and door functions if powered).
Safety Features
A bridging mechanism allows the user to safely board the lift from sidewalks or inclines.
Automatic roll stops assure the wheelchair stays in place during operation.
Standard dual handrails provide additional safety.
Installation
Queensland Transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturer`s instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.
