Mirage

Short Description
A range of powered, under floor mounted, one piece platform wheelchair lifts designed to lift a manual wheelchair and occupant into and out of a vehicle. There are two models - the Eclipse is suitable for use with small buses and front wheel drive vans, and the Mirage with standard and larger size buses. The lift stores under the vehicle when not in use.

POWER: Electro- hydraulic motor.

OPERATION: The platform on the Eclipse must first be manually pulled out from the enclosure under the vehicle. The platform on the Mirage is driven out by electric motor. The platform on both loaders is raised/lowered by electro-hydraulic pumps. The hydraulic pump on is operated by electric hand control to raise platform. Handpiece control activates gravity control valve to lower the platform. If power is lost manual backup hand pump and manual release valve enable operation of the loader.

INSTALLATION: Queensland Transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturer`s instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.

SAFETY: Forward and rear roll stops prevent the wheelchair rolling off the platform. The rear roll stop is spring loaded and automatically lowers to form a ramped entry/exit to the platform.
