Features
MATERIALS: The hoist is made of steel whilst the sling is a heavy duty canvas.

OPERATION: The unit has press button pendant control which can be operated by carer or user.

ADJUSTMENT: The webbing of the slings supplied are lengthy to enable users to adjust on receipt of item.

INSTALLATION: A bracket is mounted on the floor of the car to the underside of the dash. The remainder of the unit is collected in two pieces from the boot and placed onto the bracket. The bracket is positioned near the door pillar on the passenger side. The unit is then plugged into the 12 volt jack ready for operation.

VEHICLES SUITABLE FOR: suitable for access to the front seat of a modern six cylinder car or a two door four cylinder car. Also suits most 4x4 wheel drives and vans and has been used for accessing caravans and boats.

OPTIONS: Push in jack attachment for power from the car battery. Different sizes of harness to suit taller person.

Can not be fitted to vans where the engines are positioned under the passenger seat.
May not be approved by Queensland Transport if the vehicle has an airbag on the passenger side.


Short Description
A powered hoist, mounted inside the front passenger seat, which allows a person to be lifted and transferred from a wheelchair outside a car into the front seat. Can be user or attendant operated. The hoist is able to be removed from the mounting for storage.

More Details
This steel frames hoist consists of a vehicle floor mounted plate with a removable lifting arm. The hoist has three pivot points which allow manoeuvrability from wheelchair into the vehicle seat. The spreader bar has 2 attachment points for the sling. The standard sling surrounds the trunk and upper legs of the user. Slings can be customised.

The hoist lifts and lowers using the hand held controls. The user or attendant must provide manual effort to move in and out of the vehicle. The hand held control is attached to the lifter by an extendable cord. The hoist is suitable for a range of vehicles including sedans, hatch-backs, vans and 4WD's. It is designed for use in the front seat.

Ibis 200 - suitable for installation at side entry of vans or small four wheel drives
Ibis 250 - suitable for installation in higher vehicles such as four wheel drives

Licence & Insurance Requirements
Queensland Transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturer`s instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.

To ensure Insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their Insurance company of the approved vehicle modifications.
