Short Description
The Easy Seat is a car seat swivel device that is designed to make transfers in and out of the car easier. It is fitted under the existing seat, allowing the seat to swivel to 90 degrees to face out of the vehicle. Seat adjustments (forward/back, backrest angle) are maintained. The seat movement is manual and operated by a lever beside the seat. It can be user or attendant operated. Easy Seat is available for passenger side car seats only.

VEHICLES SUITABLE FOR: Fits most types of motor vehicle but is not suitable for vehicles with a high entry (such as four wheel drives). Can be installed in the front passenger side only. Can be removed and refitted to another motor vehicle.
MATERIALS: the swivel device is a steel construction
METHOD OF OPERATION: the seat swivels manually. It is operated by a lever at the right rear of the seat which is lifted whilst the seat is pushed either with the feet of the user or by the attendant.
FOOTREST - A pull out footrest can be used to support the user`s feet during the swivel and slide. A small clip in the centre front of the footrest needs to be pressed upwards to allow the footrest to be pulled out.
CUSTOMISED FEATURES: Different lever controls can be provided on request.

Method Of Use
To Transfer Into the Car:
1. Lift the lever positioned on the left side of the seat close to the front.
2. While holding the lever upwards, swing the seat around (90 degrees) to face the open doorway. Release the lever to lock the seat in that position.
3. Lift the metal bar that runs across the front of the seat base and at the same time slide the seat further forward through the doorway opening. Release the bar to lock the seat in that position.
4. Transfer the user onto the car seat.
5. Lift the metal bar at the front of the seat base and at the same time slide the seat backwards into the car.
6. Underneath the middle front of the footrest is a metal clip. Press the clip upwards, and pull the footrest out. Place the user`s feet on the footrest.
7. Lift the lever positioned on the left side of the seat close to the front and at the same time swing the user and seat around (90 degrees) to face the front of the car. Release the lever to lock the seat in that position.
8. Remove the user`s feet from the footrest and slide the footrest underneath the seat.
Installation
The device is fitted under the existing seat by the supplier or the customer. Can only be fitted to passenger side car seats. It is attached by adaptor brackets using the existing bolt anchorages.

Licence & Insurance Requirements
Queensland Transport requires that modifications comply with the Australian Design Rules and the QT Code of Practice and that devices are installed to manufacturer`s instructions. Modifications must be performed by an authorised modifier. Major modifications must be approved by the Queensland transport vehicle safety and operations section or the approved person scheme. Once approved, a certificate of modification will be provided and issued with a modification plate. For further information regarding installation and approval requirements contact your local Queensland Transport customer service centre.
To ensure Insurance cover, the vehicle owner should advise their Insurance company of the approved vehicle modifications.
