Short Description
A mobile seating and standing system which functions as a stander and a desk. A child can be positioned in sitting, anterior tilt sitting and standing. It allows an assistant to adjust a child from sitting to standing without transferring. Supports are provided at chest, hip, thigh, knee and feet. A range of other options are available. METHOD OF ADJUSTMENT:
SEAT:
adjusts in depth and angle
BACKREST:
provides support from the back
adjusts in back angle
HIP SUPPORT:
hook and loop fastening seatbelt
padded hip guides which are depth, width and height adjustable
KNEE PAD:
adjust in depth, width and height
FOOTPLATES:
foot holders, fastened by hook and loop straps
adjust independently in height, width, swivel and pivot
HANDLE/S:
gas spring with push handles fitted to the top of the seat for ease of transport and lifting users to standing
positive locking action when changed into any position
TRAY:
clear tray with front pad support
adjusts in depth and height.
CASTORS: Four 4" (100mm) castors. Twin locking castors
Models
There are two models:
Standard Magician Original (7000) - mobile attendant propelled.
Mobile Magician (7500M) - mobile, self propelled model with large front wheels (279mm diameter) driven via a belt drive system by another set of wheels at tray level. The 7500 mobile model is suitable for self-propelling on flat, indoor surfaces.
Method Of Use
To use the Magician:
Transfer the child from wheelchair into the seat of the stander
Secure the kneepads and table
Depress the foot button to lift the child to the desired standing position using gad cylinder lift
Options
Mobile options (P7500) - self propelling assembly with locking push rims, belt drive and 2 front wheel drive wheels
Independent knee pads (P80806)
Foot straps - holds feet in place with velcro and d-ring adjustment
Secure foot option - four point tightening system to hold feet into place
Angle adjustable table
No table option - to allow child to get closer to peers, table and activities
Table swing-away sleeve - allows for easier transfers
Positioning belt
Lateral supports - for limited trunk control
Chest strap - provides moderate upper body support
Chest vest - neoprene with camlock adjustment
Ratchet handles - can be used in place of existing knobs
Stroller handles
Seat angle locator - attaches under seat with magnet
