Short Description
The Ferno EZ Glide is a manually operated, folding evacuation chair used to assist attendants to transport an occupant in a seated position up and down stairs and over flat surfaces. It can be used as a stair chair, evacuation chair, or a transport chair.
Caution
Only trained attendants should use the evacuation chair.
The evacuation chair is designed for evacuation purposes only and is not to be used as a general lifting device.
More Details
MATERIALS: Frame fabricated from lightweight aluminium with a high-impact powder coated finish. The frame is available in five colours; blue, red, orange, green and platinum.
HAND PIECE: The five-position extending lift-handles and lift bar work with the front swivel-wheels to provide excellent manoeuvrability in confined spaces such as stair landings.
FEATURES: The back and seat area comes with two removable, snap-on ABS plastic panels. The chair has an adjustable rear lift bar and front telescopic handles to assist in moving the chair.
CASTORS: The chair has two 4 inch front swivel castors and two 6 inch rear wheels with locks.
SEAT: There are two seat options for this chair; a back and seat area with snap-on ABS plastic panels or a removable one-piece vinyl cover.
FOOTREST: The chair has an extending, foldable footrest.
SECURING OPTIONS: The chair is available with an ankle restraint and a range of additional restraints to secure an occupant in the chair are available as an option.

Method Of Use
In the 59-T model two rear tracks contact the lip of the stairs allowing them to glide over the edge of each step eliminating the need to lift the chair and the patient, however the model 59 must be lifted. The chair is for professional use by a minimum of two trained operators and additional help may be required when working with heavy patients.
