More Details
MATERIALS: Nylon / polyester sheet. Webbing straps.

INSTALLATION: The Rescue Sheet is positioned and left permanently under the mattress. It is secured with four elastic straps over each corner of the mattress to help keep the Rescue Sheet in position when bed making. The cross straps should be folded into the pockets provided, ready for easy access in an emergency. Daily bed-making as normal.

METHOD OF USE: Pull the cross straps out of the pockets and join the buckle with the strap from the opposite pocket over client and bed clothes. A pillow may be placed on the client's chest and another across the legs, under the cross straps to further protect the patient.

Pull the cross straps tight to 'cocoon' the client, complete with sheets and blankets still inside the mattress. Lower the mattress and the client off the bed and slide along the floor to safety by using the towing straps at either end.

SECURING OPTIONS: The 'cross' straps are sewn across the full width of the rescue sheet to provide extra security in case the strong nylon material should tear on a rough surface, i.e. driveways, roads, etc.

Models
There are two models available:

Pelican Rescue Sheet (#220) - suitable for use on lino floors. Can also be used on carpet floors but does not slide as easily.

Pelican Rescue Sheet Vinyl / Carpet (#220 VC) - suitable for use on vinyl or carpet floors

Options
Patient rescue sheet extension straps - enables pulling to be done from a different position or to give more access for two people to pull the rescue sheet (#220E).
