Features
POWER SOURCE:
Via a constantly charging battery pack.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY FEATURES:
For improved safety the stairlift is fitted with a unique pressure-sensitive carriage cover and footrest. If the stairlift comes into contact with any obstructions, the pressure-sensitive edges will cause the stairlift to stop immediately.
A small LED display operates to assist in fault diagnosis.
DISMANTLING / FOLDING:
The footrest, seat and armrests fold up when not in use. A linked seat - footrest is available as an option to reduce low level bending.
HINGED TRACK:
Where there is a possibility of the stairlift rail causing an obstruction at the foot of the stairs, the final section of the track may be hinged so that it can be lifted vertically, this can be moved manually or automatically.
Short Description
A battery powered stair lift that transports a person up and down a straight stairway whilst the person is sitting, standing or perched on a seat. Suitable for straight or curved stairs and for indoor or outdoor application. Various colours are available.
More Details
BATTERY:
The stairlift is battery powered, using a battery charging system (two, 12 volt, 7Amp/hr sealed batteries) that constantly charges the batteries regardless of where the stairlift is positioned. The battery charging system plugs into mains power.
In the event of a power failure a buzzer inside the stairlift will sound with an intermittent tone for 20-30 seconds. The stairlift will continue to operate for some time using the existing charged battery. An indication that the stairlift is out of power will be noticeable when the chair operates at half speed.
MECHANISM:
Uses a direct drive rack and pinion drive system within the stair mounted track.
SEAT:
A lap strap is provided as standard. The padded seat folds onto the backrest when not in use, it is height adjustable in incremental changes via a bolt. The seat is able to swivel through 45 or 80 degree increments to assist with transfers. A powered swivel seat option is available.
METHOD OF OPERATION:
Operated by an infrared remote hand held control or a joystick mounted into the end of the armrest. A two second safety delay between operating the toggle and the stairlift activating prevents accidental operation from occurring.
To operate via the joystick, simply move the joystick arm in the direction of travel maintaining constant pressure. The stairlift will automatically stop when the joystick is released.
To operate via the remote control, simply press the down or up button as required maintaining constant pressure, to stop the stairlift simply remove pressure from the button.
