Short Description
A slide board made from fibreglass with slip resistant rubber on its base. A low friction piece of material called a Glide Wing can be attached to the board and is designed to slide over itself to assist transferring. It has a low friction nylon on its inner surface and a water-resistant polyurethane outer surface. The transfer board is available with cut-outs to position it over wheels of the wheelchair. The board is curved in shape and designed so not to bend under load.

MATERIALS:
The butterfly glide board is made of fibreglass and the glide wings for IM 401 have nylon inners and a waterproof polyurethane outer surface. Both models are supplied with a slip resistant material on the back to prevent sliding during use.
METHOD OF USE:
1. Position the butterfly glide board under the user with the cut- out sections around any obstacles e.g. wheels.
2. For IM 401 make sure the glide wing is evenly distributed under the users buttocks.
3. Move horizontally across the butterfly glide board (if using the glide wing the user will turn approximately 35 degrees in relation to their initial position).
CLEANING:
The butterfly glide board can be cleaned with soapy water or alcohol. The surface of the glide wing can be washed with soapy water or alcohol. It can be machined washed at 80 degrees celcius and dried at an initial temperature of 120 degrees celcius and finished at 80 degrees celcius.
