Short Description
A mobile, powered (battery operated) stand up hoist which brings a person from sitting to a supported standing position. The sling attachment is pivot (keyhole clip) style. It has a height and angle adjustable knee pad and removable foot plate. Suitable for domestic and institutional settings.

Powder coated steel frame with a single angled mast. The battery attaches to the rear of the mast. The U shaped base is adjustable in width by electric control. It has swivel castors. There is a rectangular shaped push handle is located on the upper part of the mast. The boom consists of 2 arms which move in an arc to lift the patient.
The removable footplate is square with a slip resistant upper surface and raised edge. The knee pad is foam padded and vinyl upholstered with a contoured surface to accommodate the shins / knees. The cylindrical hand grips allow multiple grip positions.
CASTORS: swivel castors are 100mm in diameter. The 2 rear castors are lockable.
POWER SOURCE: The hoist is powered by a 240 volt battery. A light on the indicates when the battery power is low. Battery charging is via a separate charger. To charge the battery, remove the battery from the hoist and place in charger. Connect charger to main power via the cord provided.
SAFETY FEATURES: There is an emergency stop button on the battery unit. There is an emergency lowering release handle on the actuator arm.
The Hoist is not supplied with a sling - this needs to be purchased separately. The standing transfer sling has been designed for use with the hoist. It is available in 2 sizes - medium and large.
SLINGS:
- A two point nylon band sling with a padded section at the top and a torso band which secures in front of the patient. The sling attaches by clips.

Method Of Use
This stand up hoist is designed to assist with the standing transfer of a person from one seated position to another seated position. The person needs to have the ability to weight bear, excepting where a four point sling is to be used.
The use of the under arm torso sling, weight bearing footplate and a cushioned, contoured knee pad provide the three points of support. It is preferable if the person can hold onto the hand grips to assist the standing process. The person needs to be able to lean back into the sling for it to be effective.
This style of hoist is useful for toileting and dressing tasks as it provides full access for attending to lower garments.
