Short Description
An electric stand up hoist with loop fittings. Options of a standard spreader bar or a comfort bar. The comfort bar is intended for use with people who have weakness or paralysis on one side. This is a powered hoist suitable for domestic and institutional use. The Sabina brings the user from a seated to supported standing position. The Sabina is made from painted steel which has a lacquer topcoat.

MATERIALS: This hoist is made from painted steel with a lacquer topcoat.
SPREADER BAR: The Sabina has two slingbars, a standard bar and a comfort bar and which is wider and is practicle for users who have weakness or paralysis down one side of their body.
SLINGS: Slings are ordered separately. There are three styles of Liko sling used with this stand hoist. The Comfort Vest, the Support Vest and the Safety Vest.
CONTROLS: To raise and lower the user the attendant uses a hand held remote unit, on an extendable, flexible cord. A hook on the control unit allows the controls to be attached to the handle of the hoist. The hand held contols allows the attendant or the person in the sling to control the lift.
BATTERIES: This hoist is powered by two 12V Ah valve regulated lead acid, gel type batteries. new batteries are available from the supplier.
CHARGER: The Sabina has options of a built in or wall mounted charger. The manufacturer recommends the hoist is charged daily.
CASTORS: The Sabina has dual castors at the front and single locking castors at the rear.
METHOD OF USE: A sling is positioned around the user and then attached to the spreader bar. To lift the person, the person is raised and remains suspended in the sling while hoist is moved into the new position. This hoist enables a person to be transferred in a standing or seated position to and from a bed, chair or wheelchair.
The base can be wider to fit around furniture. When moving the hoist, through doorways for example, the base shoould be closed to its narrowest position. It is recommended, to minimise the transportation of the person by hoist, that the person is transported by wheelchair or mobile shower commode between pick up and set down points.
SAFETY: The Sabina has an emergency stop and an emergency mechanical and electrical lowering function. The electrical emergency lowering is operated by pressing with a blunt object (eg. ballpoint pen) the hole marked `down` on the electical power unit. The mechanical emergency lowering is operated by pulling the red emergency lowering regulator located at the base of the mast.
