More Details
MATERIALS AND COMPONENTS: This steel framed, epoxy coated hoist has an upright mast, an angled boom with a padded end and a standard (general purpose) spreader bar with two attachment points at each end for the slings. Slings attach to the hoist by loops. A tilting frame and a four point spreader bar are also available as an option. The plane of the lift is arced. A rectangular shaped push handle is mounted at the top of the mast. The base is U shaped. The hoist does not dismantle
CONTROLS: Hand held controls are attached to the base of the mast and are on an extendable cord. There are push buttons to control raise and lower. Opening and closing of the base is controlled manually by a hand held lever. There are three fixed positions which can be chosen.
CASTORS: swivel castors are 100mm in diamater. The 2 rear castors are lockable.
POWER SOURCE: The hoist is powered by a 240 volt battery. A light on the indicates when the battery power is low. Battery charging is via on board charger. To charge the battery connect the hoist to mains power via the provided cord.
SAFETY FEATURES: There is an emergency stop button on the battery unit. There is an emergency lowering release handle on the actuator arm.

Features
SLINGS: A range of patient slings in sizes from extra small to XXL are available. Styles include general purpose, general purpose with head support, tilt/pivot, amputee and a junior range of paediatric slings.

The hoist has a "Space Link" connection between the boom and the spreader bar. This allows the patient to be rotated through 360 degrees whilst elevated in the hoist. The manufacturer states that this feature increases the maximum lifting height, enhances floor lift capacity and also optimises patient space (ie reduces the likelihood of patient coming into contact with spreader bar or mast during transfers). This feature is available with both the standard and pivot spreaders.
