Short Description
A powered mobile hoist which may be used to lift and transfer a person to and from a bed, chair, or the floor. Features a SVS [Stable Vertical System] that promotes a vertical lift i.e. to maintain the same distance between the boom and the user throughout the lift. Available in one model with a range of spreader bars [including a powered tilting frame] and stretchers. Is suitable for institutional use, with a lifting capacity of 228kg. A range of slings and accessories are available.

More Details
MATERIALS: Powder coated steel.

COLOURS: Standard: Light blue mast and dark blue spreader bar and jib.
Options: Grey mast and either yellow, green, orange, or purple spreader bar and jib.

BASE: The U- shaped base has powered leg adjustment via the hand controller. The Maxi Move has been designed to integrate with other Arjo products like the bath and shower chairs.

MAST: The Maxi Move features a SVS [Stable Vertical Sytem] which comprises a vertical lift, anti- swing sytem, and jib. These assist to maintain the same distance between the boom and the user throughout the lift. There is a upside- down U- shaped handle.

BOOM: Standard: The boom/ jib is horizontal.
Options: Extended jib to provide 200mm addtional reach.

SPREADER BAR: There are a number of spreader bar options including:
1. Four- point DPS (Dynamic Positioning System] is a tilting spreader bar featuring an open- style design to improve comfort for the user. Used with the Arjo clip slings. Available in small [suitable for small adults and children] and medium.
2. Four- Point Powered DPS offers the same benefits as the mechanical version, however can be operated electrically via the hand control. Available in medium and large [suitable for larger adults].
3. Two- Point Spreader Bar which can he used with the Arjo loop slings and walking jacket.

There is also a numbed of stretcher options:
1. Soft Stretchers to support a person in supine and are available in large and extra large sizes, with or without a commode aperture.
2. Scoop Stretchers provide a rigid lifting surface that may be suitable for persons with spinal conditions.
3. Strap Stretchers consist of a series of broad straps that a slide under the person in a supine position.

An optional Combi attachment will enable the interchange of spreader bars and stretchers.

SLINGS: Slings are ordered separately. Large range of Arjo slings available for various lifting situations, and are suitable for use with this hoist. Please note that different slings types are required for the two- point [i.e. loop] and four- point [i.e. clip] spreader bars. Additionally, there is a walking jacket that may be suitable for a rehabilitation setting.

CONTROLS: To raise and lower, and tilt the person in the sling, a hand held, remote unit on an extendable, flexible cord is used. There are also controls mounted on the mast.

POWER: The hoist is operated by a 5Ah sealed lead battery.

BATTERIES: Supplier states the batteries can be charged at any time, irrespective of power level.
Standard: a visual and audible warning when the battery is low. Table- top battery charger.
Options: BDI [Battery Discharge indicator] and minute meter i.e. displays total motor usage time. Wall- mounted charging station.

CASTORS: Standard: 100mm front and rear foot- operated, lockable castors.
Option: Low height front castors [75mm] for easy access under low heights.

POINTS TO CONSIDER: It is recommended that prior to using this product, training in manual handling and the correct use of assistive devices should be undertaken.

SAFETY: Features emergency stop and manual emergency lowering device. Powered DPS provides a lock mechanism for maintaining the person being moved in a required position.

WARRANTY: 12 months.

Arjo Huntleigh have issued a field safety notice regarding the Lock and Load System or Combi Hanger attachment for this hoist. Unintended dislocation of the hanger on the Arjo Maxi Move Mobile Hoist equipped with Lock and Load system could occur, placing the user at risk of injury.
